VIDEO: Chichester staff star in new Natwest ad

CUSTOMERS got more than they bargained for when they visited their bank manager in Chichester.
Six city residents will be starring in a new national television advert expected to be watched by millions after they were filmed inside NatWest in East Street.
The bank was turned into a television set as dozens of cameras and crews descended into the branch to film the 60-second commercial on Saturday, February 28.
Chichester resident James Batts said: "I'm planning on proposing to my girlfriend so I thought I'd drop into NatWest during my lunch break to get some tips for saving up for the ring.
"It was quite a surprise to see all the cameras although not quite as surprised as my girlfriend was when she saw me on TV, the expression on her face was priceless."
Other residents who got to play starring roles in the first reality tv advert of its kind include retired couple Mr and Mrs Dartmouth and mum-to-be Caroline Porter who wants to start saving for her child's education.
Deborah Kirk from NatWest said: "The concept behind the new NatWest TV campaigns is real people in real scenarios where NatWest deal with real customer's individual cases.
"The Chichester branch depicts the kind of community spirit we all want to find on our local high street."
The city NatWest branch was selected from hundreds of others across the country because it has some of the longest serving members of staff.
Lisa Bowden has worked at the branch for 15 years and Joyce Hannan has worked in the Chichester and Selsey branches for more than 23 years.
John Houlton, Chichester NatWest manager, whose father used to work in the same branch in the 1970s, added: "We thought that rather than tell people how we can help it would be more effective to genuinely show how easy it is to pop into their nearest NatWest branch and speak to one of us face to face."
